This particular design was achieved through hand sketching the circular pattern and manipulating it in Adobe Illustrator. Hope you enjoy looking at it!

Why not try a handrawn letter for a logo? I’m working on coming up with an entire alphabet in this style. Initials, such as this one, can be a very striking image when placed on stationery, business cards or even signage. The book, Handrawn Type, was part of my inspiration for this project. The other was sketches in my sketchbook.

The process that I went through to make this included sketching the letter in ink in my sketchbook, scanning it in, and tracing it over in Illustrator. The color, Tangerine Tango, is Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2012. The gray adds a nice contrast, and is popular right now in many different design sectors from tabletop to apparel.

I printed my design on the back of Bazzill card stock and cut along the printed lines to achieve this look. My inspiration was heart shaped doilies of my childhood.

This past December I worked on the Natural Path Sanctuary site. I used HTML, CSS and WordPress to accomplish the technical side of things. I went out to the sanctuary and took photos in early December and used one for the header. Other skills I used were layout, design and of course, Photoshop!
